Founded in 2014, SchoolBlocks is a privately owned company headquartered in Carbondale, Colorado. Its Founder and President, Stephen Shapiro, has been a pioneer in educational technology since 2000. His journey began with his graduate thesis at the University of Colorado, "What I Wish I Had as a Student." SchoolBlocks stands today as the realization of that vision. Before founding SchoolBlocks, Stephen launched the groundbreaking K–12 communication platform SchoolFusion, a first-of-its-kind solution later acquired by Blackboard (now Anthology).
